Below Average Temperatures Likely Through Mid-Month

If you are a cold weather lover, then there is good new for you early next week. However, we will have an initial cold shot later this week. Early morning temperatures on Saturday will likely be in the 30s for most of NC, and in the 40s for most of SC, although near the NC/SC border temperatures could be in the 30s.

The bigger cold shot we are watching is on Tuesday into Thursday next week. This cold has the potential to make it all the way down to the Gulf Coast. North Carolina may not get out of the 30s for highs on those days! Temperatures could dip down into the teens at night.

The Euro is indicating this, although it is a week away, things can change. Nonetheless, consider protecting pipes from freezing just in case.
