Carolina Storm Chances Increase Wednesday, Thursday

The air is juicy and it even feels like you can cut it with a knife when you walk outside. When the air is humid like this, shower and thunderstorm chances increase during the afternoon and even the early evening hours.

As a cold front approaches from our west on Wednesday, the atmosphere will destabilize more than it did today, and we will be looking at increased severe storm chances for the western Carolinas in the dark green, which is a Marginal Risk set by the SPC.

As this front moves ever so slowly east, the threat will increase for the eastern Carolinas on Thursday. Strong to severe storms are possible in locations such as Raleigh and Columbia down into the Lowcountry.

Keep checking back to our Facebook page if any severe storms pop up, as we will cover them. Thanks for reading this article and please share!
