Climate Watch: Heat Builds in middle of Country

As we head into the middle of June, the heat starts to build, but this is normal for this time of year as we approach summer. There still will be some more cool shots for the Carolinas before then, which could lead some to think that we will see a cooler than average summer.

Starting around the 13th, Texas will see the highest probability for above normal temperatures. Some of this heat will encroach our areas, but likely no to the degree (or degrees) that the Central Southern U.S. will see.

I don’t think we will see blazing hot temperatures here in the Carolinas next week, but we will certainly have some days above 90 F. This is not completely unusual as we ascend to summer.

Still though, use caution outside when it’s hot. While it will be toasty, there are no signs of extreme heat just yet. Of course if that changes, we will post here on the site, so be sure to check back!
