Cold Air Will Persist

We have been talking about a pattern switch heading into the middle of October since the end of September, and well here it is! We have finally broken the monster ridge that has baked the Eastern US since September, and now we are entering much colder times ahead.

Again, this year looks more and more like 2002, and just like what we will be experiencing to end this month, 2002 experienced the exact same.

To end the month 2002 experienced very cold air that infiltrated the Central and Eastern US, and the upcoming out look to end this month looks exactly the same.

Cold air will stick around through the rest of the month and with a trough over the Eastern US, the storm path will be right along the East Coast with snow chances for interior parts and higher elevations in the east.

We will continue to update you as the month progresses, but make sure you follow us here at East Coast Weather Authority.
