Cool-down is Coming for the Southeast!

After last week’s HOT temperatures, there will finally be relief this week across the South, and it will feel like fall for quite possibly the first time, depending on your location. A cold front is moving through the mountains tonight to our west, and will continue to push east into Monday. This will cool us down considerably, especially for Tuesday morning. However Monday morning will still be on the cool side.

The mountains could receive their first frost of the season. Elsewhere, expect lows in the 40s and 50s near the coast. This is only a preview of what’s to come later this month! Watch for that in a separate post.

Here is the temperature departure from normal for Tuesday morning 8am:

Many locations will struggle to get out of the 60s with the exception of South Florida. Nighttime temperatures could dip into the 30s. Temperatures will rebound by the end of the week, however they will not be as hot as last week.
