Cool-Down for the Carolinas Sunday

While it isn’t the major Arctic blast that we were advertising earlier this month, there will be a cool shot of air for our area on Sunday and into early Monday. It is winter, so any below normal temperatures will feel cold when we step outside.

Below is the GFS for Sunday night/early Monday morning.

This isn’t by any means a major Arctic outbreak, but rather a cold, refreshing blast of air behind a departing snow system that could dump some snow on Virginia.

Temperatures will quickly rebound later on Monday as the sun angle is strong, and will allow us to warmup during the afternoons.

The mornings will be chilly, but that’s just winter in the South.
