CPC 6-10 Day Outlook and Beyond Looks Chilly/Cold

The Climate Prediction Center is on board with a below-normal period of temperatures from May 6th-10th in their 6-10 Day Outlook, and even beyond in their 8-14 Day Outlook. Temperatures will still remain uncomfortable for many to go swimming. Their still may be danger of frost in the higher elevations, as some of the higher mountaintops have even seen flakes recently due to the colder shift in temperatures.

6-10 days from now it looks like we will remain chilly here in the Carolinas.

This time period will extend into the 8-14 day range, which would mean that it will be chilly into mid-May, with even a coldwave outbreak at times. It won’t be the ideal weather for beach trips or taking a dip in the pool, just yet.

Stay tuned as we always will keep you updated on the overall pattern here at Carolina Weather Authority.
