Cooler Temps and Stormy Conditions for Carolinas

A welcome, albeit weak, cold front will move south from VA to NC on Friday. This front is expected to stall out somewhere along eastern North Carolina. This should occur between 11am and 2pm. As it passes, expect widespread thunderstorms to develop across North Carolina. The front will be less pronounced in South Carolina, both in storm development as well as cooling effects.

Expect highs in NC to be in the mid to upper 80s to low 90s. For SC, expect slightly warmer temps in the mid to lowers 90s.

We continue to watch the tropics as activity gets underway. Be sure to stay tuned for more updates.
