Look for a very hot and humid afternoon, with a few scattered afternoon and/or evening showers and thunderstorms in the mountains and coastal South Carolina. A stray shower or storm is not ruled out in the rest of South Carolina and much of North Carolina. Heat indices will approach, if not exceed 100 degrees in some areas outside the mountains. Make sure to stay hydrated and have a good day.
