Scattered showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage over the mountainous areas Tuesday, with a stray shower or storm not ruled out east of the mountains. Much of the Carolinas outside of the mountains should see precipitation coverage be fairly isolated or less. Temperatures will be seasonably hot with temperatures nearing or exceeding 90 degrees in many locations.
