Downpours This Week Could Cause Flooding in Spots

The first half of the upcoming work week is looking wet. More showers and storms will prevail across the Southeast as multiple upper-level disturbances swing through. This will keep our temperatures in check, but it will be more humid as the rain will enhance the humidity. Areas where there is prolonged sunshine could see severe storms that could produce hail and even an isolated tornado.

Motorists should plan for delays and leave extra time for travel. Also headlights should be used during downpours for safety to be visible to other drivers.

Flash flood watches and warnings will likely be issued in areas where heavy rain occurs. Areas that normally flood will likely be included for the first half of this week.

This wet pattern will likely continue through the middle of the month.
