Early Season Snow May Cripple Parts of NC

What we are looking at as everyone knows is a potentially historic southern snowstorm this weekend. Some locations will receive over a foot of snow in the NC mountains.

Find the description below for each area forecast.

AREA A:  A trace to 5 inches of snow with southern portions including Raleigh, Charlotte and N. Georgia seeing up to .25″ of ice.

AREA B: 5 to 8 inches of snow, Charlotte surroundings could see up to .25″ of ice.

AREA C: 8 to 12 inches of snow.

AREA D: 1 TO 2 FEET OF SNOW!

Timing is after 1 pm on Saturday. From that moment on, conditions will deteriorate. If this does turn into an ice storm, expect to lose power for days. This happened before in December of 2002.

Quite the mess is coming soon!
