Fall-like Air to Protrude into the Eastern U.S. This Week

After a few days of heat and humidity, there could be a break coming down the pipeline. As what’s left of Ida makes its exit over the next few days, cooler and drier air will wrap around behind.

The GEFS shows some below-normal temperatures during the day on Thursday. This could mean high temperatures in the low to mid 80s, and sunny. We are still in summer, so this will only be a “taste of fall.” The likes of some hints at fall are possible as we begin September tomorrow, which is Meteorological Fall on the 1st.

This is just some shades of an early fall preview. Still, it’s summer, and it will be warm and even hot at times! Continue to take it easy with outdoor activities.
