As many of you have seen, August is ending on a very cool note compared to normal. Some say they haven’t experience overnight low temperatures like this since 1992. Let me also add that we are not affiliated with any other pages officially, as many have got us confused with other pages with similar names. I’m Mike Griffith, a degreed meteorologist. Below is the climate outlook from the CPC. This is for the 5th into the 9th. The cooler temperatures, however, are already in place today and are expected to remain this week as we start September and into the 5th.
Will the taste of fall last beyond this week? Let’s take a look at the longer-range 8-14 Day Outlook from the CPC from the 7th into the 13th:
Our chances are better for near normal temperatures with maybe only some very slightly below in more northern parts of our viewing area. But the good news is, no heatwaves are on the horizon! Just a fall preview and then things slowly get back to normal before mid-month.
