Flooding Likely This Week for the Carolinas

In addition to Tropical Storm Arthur, we will face some potentially serious flooding in western NC, and very heavy rains across the rest of the Carolinas. This will be due to an upper-level system moving in from the west, and setting up directly over the Carolinas. Expect a raw and damp, miserable week ahead, as the rain will seem like it’s coming down in buckets for some. Western NC and VA will be the hardest hit, with potential water rescues from those who drive into flooded roads. Remember, turn around, don’t drown! Each day this week through Saturday has the potential for rain, however towards the end of the week the chance for rain will decrease.
