Friday Heat Indices in the Southeast Still Well Over 100 F

While we are expecting a bit of relief for Virginia and North Carolina on Friday, the hot and humid conditions will remain in southeast North Carolina and Northeast South Carolina. Much of South Carolina and Georgia will remain in the danger zone, with heat indices in the 105-110 degree range.

Some expected values on Friday:

Charleston, SC: 109 F

Columbia, SC: 109 F

Charlotte, NC: 102 F

Raleigh, NC: 94 F but 100 F on Saturday and 105 F on Sunday

Norfolk, VA: 88 F but 105 F on Saturday and 106 F on Sunday

Drink plenty of water and try to limit time spent outdoors if you can! Also try to remain in air conditioning, especially during the hottest part of the day.
