Heat Returns Next Week, T-Storms Continue

There will be a bit of a break in the rain, especially for the Southeast on Sunday and Monday. Then on Monday, we heat up once again to more seasonable summer temperatures. We will also see an increase in humidity levels. Western VA, NC, SC, and parts of GA will see scattered thunderstorms, some daily. These will be hit-or-miss in nature but could put down torrential rain.

Sunday will see some showers left over in spots, but otherwise should be a mainly dry day for many. On Monday, the heat will start to be felt the most, but then Tuesday the threat for thunderstorms returns again, and could be severe in some locations. Not everyone will see thunderstorms Mon-Tue but those who do could either get severe or flooding. The Carolina coasts could be included in the thunderstorm activity on Monday.
