Heat Returns to Southeast Early Next Week

While it will feel a bit chilly out for a couple of days this week, temperatures will quickly rebound starting on Sunday of this coming weekend. Highs will slowly climb back into the 60s later this week and possibly into the 70s this weekend. But then early next week we could be looking at highs near 80 degrees once again.

The CPC 6-10 Day Outlook has much of the eastern half of the US in high probabilities for seeing above-normal temperatures. South Carolina will see an increased likelihood of higher temperatures than North Carolina, which is expected during ridges of high pressure.

The Euro ensemble mean is indicating a fairly robust heat dome over the Plains, which will extend into the Southeast around April 7th into the 9th.

Will this slow the spread of the virus? We hope so, but the only way to make sure is to remain socially distant and at home.
