Heat Will Take a Hike Next Week

After our first heat wave of the season, and not being summer yet, our first wave of relief will come on Sunday into Monday. This is front where severe could be likely anywhere along the East Coast. These are the lunchtime departures on Monday:

Into the middle of this month, we return to the furnace. “Blowtorch” will be setting up for much of the eastern half of the US. This translates into high temperatures well above normal. This around the 17th:

This means that the severe weather will take a break since there will be too much high pressure for any type of large-scale storm system.

Buckle up for the not-so-surprising May ride!
