Trouble in the Tropics Already

Our first tropical wave of the season will likely bring flooding rains to S. Florida next week. Winds will not be an issue as much as the flooding, however gusts may reach 40mph. This disturbance will likely get carried away by a cold front out to sea. Plus, sea surface temperatures are not ideal yet. At best we will have a weak tropical depression or storm as the “A” storm would be on a course out to sea as it strengthens slightly.

The GFS is showing a 1005 mb low off the NC/SC coast. This is a stronger wave, on the lower end of intensity.

However this disturbance should be monitored for any last changes in course. We think rain is the biggest headline with this storm.
