After the bright and sunny warm days, clouds have moved back in and now the question is, when will it start raining? Not everybody will get rain at first, but the mountains will get the highest amounts. Areas that can expect to see some heavier rains along with thunderstorms will be along the NC coast and SE VA.
The disturbance that was supposed to bring heavy rains to south Florida will now go out to sea and collide with a front approaching from the west. Heavy rains are expected offshore. Elsewhere, expect heavy rain west of Charlotte and for the upstate of SC especially tonight into Sunday. It looks wet in the Southeast at least through Tuesday, with rain, scattered showers, and thunderstorms.
