Hot Thursday Next Week – in February!

It’s still only February, but when highs will reach the 80s that does not exactly feel like winter. This could be the first time Charlotte has seen a snowless winter since the 1880s! That’s unprecedented for our lifetimes. Below are the forecast highs Thursday from the NWS.

This is pretty crazy for only February 23rd. Things can change on a dime in the Carolinas, and the potential for snow still exists during the first half of March. But we are not saying that’s going to happen, as mild as this winter’s been.

We will build into the upper 70s on Wednesday, which will prep us for the heat on Thursday. With these types of winters, if it even was one, usually an early spring starts. We could be into the 90’s by mid May if things stay the same.
