Memorial Day Could be Another Wet Weekend

It should be no surprise that we are in for yet another wet weekend. A potential subtropical disturbance could form just off the Carolina coasts Friday into Saturday. This would disrupt any beach plans for those from parts of Eastern NC down through Charleston. The below model shows around lunchtime on Saturday.

Rain totals could be around 2 inches in spots, which means once it starts raining, it won’t let up. And it could pour at times. Below is the estimated total rainfall through 8pm next Monday (Memorial Day).

It might not be a washout for some, but for some it may, especially where the coastal system makes landfall. We are not expecting much in the way of winds, just rain. And yes, the timing is once again on a weekend.

Plan accordingly!
