More Rain to Come This Week

This should not come as a surprise to anyone that more rain is on the way this week. The latest totals according to the WPC will be heaviest along the coasts of NC and SC. Also, heavy rain has been falling in PA and will continue to do so this week. However, a bulk of the rain will fall over the next 24 hours, from Monday into Tuesday. Flooding is already being reported in Southeast PA.

Here is the WPC totals for the next 24 hours. Also notice the Carolina coasts get wet tonight and tomorrow.

Over the next 7 days, these same areas will continue to get hit with heavy rain, raising the concern for flooding. Areas where heavier rain occurs there could be serious flooding.

The rest of the East Coast gets wet this week at some point. Any given location will not see rain each day, but at some point any location will get wet, unless there is a phenomena that keeps an area relatively dry.

Don’t drive into flooded roads and also be sure to use headlights when it is raining for added safety. Get your wiper blades checked to make sure they are new and provide good visibility when used. Also pay attention on the roads and drive safe.
