Most of the Contiguous Lower 48 to be Below Normal

This week will be warm and humid, and even with a tropical storm. By the way, prepare for gusty winds tomorrow (Tuesday) especially parts East. Then another whammy comes this weekend, in the form of winter. I can’t remember when I’ve seen so many states below normal, possibly back in November of 2014 when there was a record cold wave.

The cold air moves in late on Saturday into Sunday. By Monday morning, many of us will be in the freezer, or at least in the low 30s. This won’t be a record Arctic Blast, but it will certainly be much colder than it is now.

Be careful not to get comfortable with the recent warmth and plant anything outside or leave something outside that can freeze over the weekend, especially pets or other animals.
