Good evening, we just wanted to point out that the mountains will get a good dose of snow tonight and into the wee hours Saturday. Amounts could be around 3-4″ in and around the mountains, and could be higher for the highest elevations. Gusty winds, some higher gusts, will usher in colder air overnight. A flurry may make it out of the mountains and into western NC Piedmont west of I- 85. The soupy air and heavier rains are moving out of the picture now.
