Wind Damage Likely Thursday Night into Friday

High winds associated with a powerful storm system moving up the coast are expected tonight. Since soils will be saturated from heavy rains, trees will likely topple over, bringing power lines down with them. Charge your phones in case the power goes out tonight. Areas in VA and into the Mid Atlantic and New England, the outages will be more likely as winds are expected to be stronger. Anywhere in the red, winds could gust to 65 mph, especially in thunderstorms. High profile vehicles such as semi trucks might was to reconsider travel overnight. Stay tuned to your local NWS for all official information.
