Much Cooler and Drier Next Week

As we continue to sit through swamp-like humidity into the end of this week and into the weekend, we can look forward to when there will be more pleasant conditions. We will not have to wait long, as the changes will come on Sunday and into Monday. We will be much cooler and drier to start next week. Temperatures across North Carolina will average some 10 degrees below normal and around 5 degrees below normal for South Carolina for June 1st.

How long will these pleasant conditions last? Well remember, we live in the South and the calendar will be turning to June, so not long at all. In fact, by Thursday next week will will swing in the opposite direction with temperatures climbing to 10 degrees ABOVE normal.

This is still not completely unusual for this time of year, as well as the wet weather. It’s technically still spring. However, meteorological summer starts June 1st.
