New Year’s Eve Carolina Forecast Dec 31st, 2020

As we put one of the most awkward and dubious years behind us, of course it will go out in a messy way. It will remain rainy and raw across the Carolinas tonight. This will be a night where it’s probably just best to stay home and watch the ball drop on TV. There will likely be impaired drivers on the roads tonight, and that combined with rainy conditions will likely cause a lot of accidents. Don’t get caught in one.

In the light green in the graphic below, light rain can be expected, and can be off and on at times. In the darker green, heavier rain is likely. This will be the trend at least up until midnight tonight when we hit 2021.

How about temperatures? As we stated last night, it will feel much different along the coast than inland. Temperatures in the ball drop hour will remain in the 60s along the coast, and will hover around 50 inland. Not the worst of cold and raw conditions but still not pleasant enough to be out.

The take away message tonight is PLEASE stay SAFE, off the roads, and most of all, ENJOY!

HAPPY 2021!!!
