Next Cold Shot Arrives Friday

Temperatures have been below normal, especially for those inland. Our next reinforcing shot of cold air will be in place before 7am on Friday. A mid-winter airmass will be in place in the center of the country. Teens will takeover much of the Plains and Midwest, and 20s and 30s will be the lows here.

Many of us once again will be in the 20s and 30s. Only eastern SC will be safe from the coldest, and even there it will be cold. This is winter in November, basically.

I’m seeing chatter from Jesse about a possibly active early December, so stay tuned. Things look interesting. The Polar Vortex is expected to drop down into North America, and an overall cold and stormy December.
