Next System Set to Come Through Thursday Night

We are expecting yet another Southern-stream system to swing through the South Thursday night into early Friday this week. However, it does not look like this next storm will have the impacts that our previous one did.

Instead, this next one will be a quick-hitter and will only drop light amounts east of the mountains. Eastern TN will get some decent amounts, but nothing insane. We are thinking at much of eastern VA may not see anything at all, but western VA may get some light amounts.

This system will be more of a mountain slider than Piedmont. Once again, temperatures will tumble behind this next system. Temperatures Saturday morning will be in the teens across VA, and in the 20 across much of NC, and 20s and 30s down into SC.

This pattern could be favorable for snow lovers in the South! It does NOT have to be overly cold to get snow. But all we need is a moisture source, and just enough cold air.
