Reinforcing Shot of Cold Air Friday; Saturday

It’s been a cold week here in the Carolinas, and we are expecting another winter storm to dip into the Southeast and slide off to the north and east. We are not expecting much snow out of this system, however the NC mountains and perhaps the northwestern part of NC may see some snow.

However, we are not expecting an impactful winter storm across NC as the last one was. Although this next system may affect central and northern VA once again.

But the big story for the Carolinas is the cold shot behind this system, and will cause temperatures to tumble once again late Thursday night into early Friday morning.

The chill is expected to last into Saturday, with morning lows in the 20s and 30s Friday and in the 30s Saturday for most. Of course, near the coast will be slightly warmer, but it will still feel cold.
