NOAA CPC 8-14 Day Forecast is Above Normal for Much of US

For those of us who don’t like the heat, no relief is in sight. This summer could be shaping up to be a brutal one, especially for the Plains and Northeast. Heatwaves will come and go, but we will be singing the same song and dance at least through the 15th of this month.

Energy markets should take note, since there will be a high demand for a/c across much of the country. The regions that will most likely see prolonged heat are out West, in the Upper Plains, Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Upper 90s could be common across all those regions.

NOAA’s 8-14 day outlook from July 9th to July 15th:

Have a plan for extended heatwaves! If you a/c is not working properly make sure to get it serviced. Also consider public transportation if you walk to work. Utilize the beaches and swimming pools this month.

Also, keep an eye on your car’s temperature gauge, if it starts heading to ‘H’, have your car serviced immediately!
