Possible Hottest Temperatures of the Season for Many

We are in the hottest time of the year, and this week will be no exception. Mid 90s will start to make their presence known as early as Thursday and maybe even Wednesday. By Friday and Saturday, it will be a full-on heatwave. Saturday official NWS highs are shown below:

Charlotte will hit 96 degrees as well many other locations within that belt. The beaches look cooler, so it may be a good idea to head there. But Charleston will be experiencing her typical midsummer heat.

This week will be a good one to practice heat safety, which is to basically stay in air conditioning if you can. If your job is outside, drink plenty of water, find shade, and take frequent breaks. Consult the local NWS for all heat-related safety info.

We will dry up, so no rain, but that means the heat will be on. We hope you have a pool and that your a/c works!
