Rain Returns to the Carolinas

After a stretch of sunshine and mild temperatures, we are due for more rain and raw conditions later this week. Rain will start the spread across the region on Thursday but only in spots. The precip will move in from the southwest. Overall, lighter amounts are expected near the coast than inland. Moderate rains are expected across central SC and NC, while the heaviest rains will be in the western Carolinas, especially the mountains. Anytime on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday we could end up getting wet, so make sure to bring an umbrella each day. Also, drive safe and allow time for extra traffic. Use headlights and wipers!
