Severe Storms for South Carolina Sunday Night

This is probably the last thing South Carolinians want to hear after some were ravaged by tornadoes exactly one week ago. But there is another chance for more rotating thunderstorms Sunday night into Monday, primarily for the Lowcountry and much of middle and southern Georgia. The Medium chance does include Columbia, so they are not out of the woods as far as damaging thunderstorms and tornadoes. This threat will be on our doorsteps in SC late Sunday into early Monday, as yet another tornado outbreak is expected across the Deep South

They are now under a Moderate outlook from the SPC. An Enhanced Risk extends into SC and a Slight Risk extends into both SC and southeast NC.

Southeast SC including Charleston, Beaufort, Hilton Head and other Lowcountry town will be under the gun. Savannah including Tybee Island are also in the threat zone.

Please stay alert into late Sunday and overnight into Mondy. Have multiple ways of receiving weather warnings from the NWS!
