Southern Snow Possible Monday – What are the Impacts?

Well, you have probably been hearing all the buzz about snow in the South on Monday. We can see some flakes here across the South, which consists of NC and VA. This storm will be referred to as a “Southern Slider” which means that the storm “slides” away offshore instead of moving up the coast to become a nor’easter.

GFS and the CMC both have accumulating snow, but only for northern NC and across VA, more likely southern VA than central or northern VA, and DC.

Originally, there were 2 scenarios forecast. As of now, Scenario 1 remains the way we are leaning for this upcoming Monday event.
