Southern Soaking Rains To Continue into Late Week

Many of us may have forgot that Monday is Memorial Day, and kicks off the “summer” even though summer does not begin until June 21st. Well, Meteorological Summer kicks off on June 1st, so close enough. Rainy conditions are expected to persists across the Carolinas Wednesday, and especially western NC as the faucets are expected to open up.

Rain totals through Friday are shown below:

The forecast for Wednesday: Rain.

The forecast for Thursday: Rain.

The forecast for Friday? Rain early, then drying out from west to east.

Saturday and Sunday look like they may actually be “nice” days, at least days without too much in the way of rain. But we could remain on the muggy side and things could warm up as we head into Memorial Day.

Memorial Day will likely be a decent day, but it will likely be hot like any other Memorial Day. Also, the humidity will also be on the increase since we are heading closer to summer.

Stay safe if you have to head out, and remember if you need your wipers to see, you need to use your headlights so others can see you.
