Heat and humidity will continue this week for the Carolinas, at least into Friday. You may be able to have one more dip in the pool Friday, if the one in your backyard or near you is still open. It will likely be the last pool day for a while!
A strong cold front moves in on Saturday, and by Sunday morning we will cool off considerably. By Monday morning, we can expect widespread temperatures in the 40s and 50s. The light blue outline below is for the upper 30s, dark blue is 40s, and plain map is 50s.
Don’t get used to this, as we will quickly warm up on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
There are signs of another cold front later next week, and next weekend could feel similar to Monday morning. We are still on track for a fall-like Sunday and Monday!
