This Weekend Set to Go From Summer To Fall

It will feel summery this week, as today did with ample sunshine and warmth. This week temperatures will continue to climb, and could reach the mid 80s in spots before the weekend. So, the changes coming this weekend will be welcomed by many.

The cold front is now expected to arrive late on Saturday. By Sunday morning. many of us will feel the chill. Below is the 2m GFS departure from average temps:

Lows inland by Monday morning could be in the 40s, with 50s closer to the coast and low 60s at the coast. The higher elevations of the mountains could dip into the upper 30s.

This cool shot looks to be temporary, as we will quickly warm up on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, there could be another cool shot coming down the pipeline later next week associated with another cold front. Friday into Saturday we could be looking at round two:

This would likely mean low temperatures in the 40s inland once again. It’s fall, and this could be our last week of “summer.”
