Surge of Arctic Air

The calendar says October, but this weekend will feel like winter as a strong cold front will surge south and drop temperatures into the 40s and 30s across the deep south. We have been talking about a pattern switch coming for the middle of October since September and here it is. This second surge of cold air will feel like the middle of winter and only previewing what this winter will hold.

Much colder temperatures are on the way as a strong cold front sweeps through and many places will see their first freeze of the season.

This Sunday will feel like the dead of winter for many. These temperatures will not just be felt in the Northeast, as winter like temperatures will make it into the deep south.

This arctic blast is only previewing of what is to come this winter as we are expecting cold air to dominate the most of this upcoming winter
