Sweltering Heat to Sweep Across the East Next Week

HOT is the word on the street, and it will certainly feel like it starting this weekend. We could be looking at highs in the upper 90s for many locations including Charlotte, Columbia, Raleigh, and Richmond. Hopefully the local swimming pool is open since many will benefit from its use.

The GFS model is indicating triple digit heat for some of the major cities, but we think it’s overdone. However, upper 90s are very possible in many locations. The mid 90s could surge all the way into the Northeast.

Stay hydrated and limit outdoor strenuous activities during this time, and make sure to follow us as we will have an update on when the heat will break (if it does).
