Triple Digit Heat Possible in VA, NC, SC This Weekend

As the heat will build this week, it will come to a a climax this coming weekend. We will see temperatures slowly climb from the low 90s to the mid 90s as the week progresses, then on Friday we could see readings around 96. In some spots/locations it could be hotter. Then on Saturday, some locations could see the century mark as a high. Not every town/city will see the triple digits, however we are confident that a select few locations will record a 100 degree high or more.

As we enter this coming weekend, prepare for extreme heat outdoors. If you are experiencing any A/C issues you might want to get that fixed as soon as possible. Also, outdoor activities, especially if prolonged, will become dangerous if not hydrated. This also goes for pets and leaving children in hot cars.

Follow the official heat safety rules! We will continue to update on the heatwave this week.
