After a frigid start to April, things are warming up and this week many of us could return to the 80s. The warmth will likely peak on Wednesday as many locations could see readings in the low 80s. There are some coastal locations that may not make it out of the 70s, but nonetheless it will be gorgeous at the beaches.
Southeast VA is expected to not be as warm, nor is much of VA including down into the NC and SC, GA mountains. These areas will be warm but should remain in the 70s. Now, if we get really warm, then all these forecast temps below are not warm enough. But we will see.
The threat of rain returns on Thursday, with showers and thunderstorms, with some being severe. Another storm system will be sweeping across the Deep South this week, and will touch off more storms that produce tornadoes. This system will then be in our area on Thursday, which is our next system. We are monitoring it to see how severe it will be, but for now, there’s nothing really that stands out quite yet, and we’ll let you know.
For now, enjoy the sunshine!
