Yes it will be Very Cold in the Northern US, Not So Much Southeast

A series of cold snaps will affect much of the eastern US, however, they will be mostly felt in northern regions. It will get cold as we head into Friday and Saturday, but nothing too severe. The Southeast will be in seasonable temperatures with nothing to extremely below normal.

Next week, a powerful cold front moves through on Tuesday which will bring more rain to the Southeast and mountain snow showers. Behind it, very cold air will usher in. The locations that will mostly be affected by severe cold will be the upper Midwest, Plains, and Ohio River Valley. It will be a dome of severe cold, but will be very tightly limited to northern locations.
