Heatwave Engulfs East Coast This Weekend

In some locations, it may be too hot to even head to the pool. We are looking at air temperatures in the upper 90s to 100, so heat indices will be well over 100 with the humidity. This is our second major heatwave this summer. It will feel very uncomfortable outside when you head out the door starting Friday and maybe as early as Thursday. We will sweat rather quickly after stepping outside.

Highs will range from the low to upper 90s and even 100s in spots by Sunday. This is another dangerous heatwave. Do not leave pets or children in you car, even if it is only for 5 minutes. Air temperatures rise extremely fast inside cars and trucks to deadly temperatures quickly.

Limit outdoor activities during the heat of the day and stay hydrated. Try to remain inside where there is air conditioning as much as possible.
