Relief from Heat and Humidity on the Way!

The month of May was above normal temperature-wise and most likely humidity-wise. It was a very hot and sticky month. This was due to the Gulf being “open for business” as tropical moisture was allowed to surge northward up the coast.

There is some good news for the heat wave haters, as Monday and Tuesday will be a bit cooler than recent weeks. For some of us, especially along the Carolina coasts, the front may not make it to us until later in the day. Once it arrives, drier air will be more noticeable.

Tuesday we will wake up to more seasonable but refreshing temperatures, mainly in the low 70s along the coast to the upper 60s across much of NC/SC. It should be a very nice day outside, normal for this time time year, but with lower humidity.
