Spring Temperatures Spread Across Eastern U.S. Next Week

While we will be close to normal temperature-wise for the rest of this week including drier conditions, temperatures will slowly increase once we head into next week. For now, we will be enjoying days filled with sunshine and no rain for once. We are looking dry over the next 7 days here in the Carolinas. That is welcome relief for some whose backyards were turning into a pond. Me personally, I will take being able to drive with the sunroof open, even if it’s a short drive.

This also may be some good news for those who want to get outside and enjoy the nice weather rather than be stuck at home. According to the models, it looks like our first real taste of spring is set to hit next week, especially as we approach the middle of next week. Much of the eastern half of the country will likely experience temperatures in the 60s and even 70s for highs.

It’s hard to say if March will be above-average as a whole, but for now it looks like the first half could be, even though we will be close to normal for the rest of this week and this weekend. Below is the CPC outlook from March 9th to the 13th, and favors widely above-average temperatures.

March 11th through the 17th also favors a high chance for above-normal temperatures. As spring is just around the corner, and we live in the South, snow chances are dwindling fast. In fact, we think that whatever we saw this winter is what we got, and that will be a wrap, Now, it has snowed in March and in some rare cases April, so we are not saying that it won’t happen. But we should now start to prepare for severe weather season.

We expect a tranquil stretch of weather ahead, so go ahead and get outdoors and stay safe when doing so. Outdoor activity conditions will be excellent.
